Change to Support Business Process

  • Fortune 150 Insurance Company needed a partner to quickly develop and implement a Change Management strategy to ensure speed of adoption, as well as high utilization and proficiency for a new enterprise-wide Project Management methodology.
  • An organizational assessment highlighted poor execution and process-based capabilities as one of the main reasons why the client was having a challenge with delivering on its enterprise-wide strategy and achieving its goals. The client was also using 21 disparate project management methodologies across the enterprise.
  • We worked with the client’s strategic initiatives & technology function to create a Change Management strategy that facilitated the adoption of an industry standard Project Management methodology. The strategy included:
    • Using Prosci’s ADKAR change management framework to guide the change including deploying ADKAR assessments to assess adoption effectiveness of the project management methodology enterprise-wide
    • Developing and delivering instructor-led training and coaching sessions
    • Deploying key communications such as information sessions, meetings, all hands sessions, off-sites, e-mails, job aids, brochures, various presentations, and end-user forums (including a community of practice, voice of the people, resistance management, and Q&A discussion forum)
  • In the end, the methodology was successfully introduced and adopted by all targeted programs and projects enterprise-wide
    • ADKAR and organizational assessments were successfully customized and delivered to reinforce the strengths and opportunities for improvement of the initiative
    • Key communications were delivered to drive the socialization of the Project Management methodology to the enterprise over an 11 month time period
    • Training and coaching sessions were deployed to over 1,000 project leaders and team members enterprise-wide
